Brief Note on the System of Examinations

The examinations (both internal assessment and semester end) are conducted as per the Regulations approved by the Academic Council and as per the established norms and procedures.

(a) Conduct of Practical Examinations :

The Practical Examinations in each Laboratory/Workshops/Computer Centre of every semester are conducted by two examiners (one external to the college and another internal) from the panel of examiners updated from time to time and approved by the Academic Council. The question paper for every batch is set jointly by the two examiners prior to the commencement of practical examinations. The two examiners jointly assess the performance of the students and submit the award list in scaled covers and bundle of assessed answer scripts in the examinations section immediately after the completion of the examinations. Subsequently the awarded marks are uploaded to the server examination wise, class wise and branch wise.

(b) Conduct of theory examinations :

The process of conducting the theory examinations as approved by the Academic Council is adopted by the college. The setting of question papers for various subjects semester wise and branch wise is assigned to senior faculty working in different Universities and premier institutions in the state. Four sets of question papers are taken for each subject in the process. The question papers as received from the senior faculty are transformed to the prevailing formats and are placed in sealed covers (4) for each subject. On the day of examinations, 45 minutes prior to commencement, ONE SET is picked up at random by the DIRECTOR or any Professor nominated by him and the questions papers from this set are generated subject wise and the examinations are conducted. The remaining three sets of question papers is scaled covers are preserved for subsequent examination. This method is adopted for all subjects. The answer scripts are evaluated by the senior faculty working in different Universities and premier institutions. The data contained in the award lists is transformed to the server and accordingly the semester wise & branch wise results are notified to the students. The opportunity is given to the students for Recounting and Revaluation as per the schedule notified. After the Recounting & Revaluation process is completed, The GRADE CARDS are issued to the students.
